I was really struggling with this and waiting for something to happen besides furtive glances and dialogue that hinted at something, and oh, goodness.
Then on page 100 we were introduced to Captain Benwick, a true brooding romantic hero! Shortly thereafter, Louisa has a concussion and things start to happen. Woot! Stuff is happening!
Many of my friends adore this book, and Anne Elliot. I tried, I read every page, but I can not love Jane Austen.
