One of my all-time favorite books and I am unashamed of being a huge Jane Austen fan.
Beautiful love story, and interesting portrait of life for women in upper-class society in the 19th century. The little romantic in me would not mind a Mr. Darcy, in spite of being annoyed at the constant husband-search focus of most of the female characters. Elizabeth Bennet is a wonderful character: strong, honest, true to her beliefs and able to stand against social conventions of the time. The language is a bit convoluted at some points, and took me a while to get used to it. Lovely book.
This book makes me smile.
