I read this first in 2001, then again right before the Hulu series comes out. This novel is stunning, horrifying, and way too relevant right now.

I reread this after maybe 10-12 years. Not only does it hold up, I now find the "conference" transcript at the end so much more pointed a critique.

I wanted to reread this and refresh my memory before watching the Hulu series. I listened to the Audible version, narrated by Claire Danes, which was excellent!
Though pedantic at times, the novel provided some great fodder for discussing gender, and change. It was an engaging read, and I'm glad my book club chose it!

If I could give this 6 stars I would. This book will stay with me for the rest of my life, and I will keep coming back to it many times.
