This was excellent. I loved following Ifemelu from Nigeria to the US and back, observing her own journey of self-knowledge as she in turn observes others. There were aspects of the story that were a bit too convenient (i.e. her meteoric rise as a blogger), and the ending left me a little unsatisfied, but Adichie is such a good storyteller, with such insight into her characters, that these were minor criticisms.

Loved it. It's a tough call, but this one might be even better than "Half of a Yellow Sun." As I read, I kept thinking, "EVERYONE needs to read this book!!" And then I realized that I'm probably the last person on Earth to read it. But if you haven't yet, you should. Especially if you're a crazy who thinks 'Murica is colorblind.
