Absolutely riveting! You think you know what it's about: poor Black woman has cells removed without consent and they prove indispensable for science research. Okay, you say, I get it -- ethical questions there. Then you find out these very cells made the polio vaccine possible. Wow! That's a biggie! Then you keep reading and find out another surprising twist in the story . . . and another and another.

You fall in love with her heartbroken and damaged daughter; you root for her amazing grandson.
