What Members Thought
This was an amazing read. I could not put it down. I think it also made a whole world of difference that it was written by a woman. I only read one other graphic novel before that, Pride of Baghdad, and I hated the way violence was depicted and how boring the story was. This one was different. It was funny and witty, yet equally very sad and reflective.
On a more generous day this would be a 4. I learned a lot about what it was like to live through the revolution and the Iran/Iraq war, as well as what it was like to be an Iranian ex-pat in Europe.y
