After digesting this overnight. I will stick with the 3star rating.
The reading experience was unique as regardless of what you know about this book, you already know the ending. Bertha is mad at the end.
I've never really liked Rochester . Never really sure how he became the love hero. You never really find out why Rochester decided to call Antoinette "Bertha", other than the fact he liked the name. I know it is a metaphor of control and power Rochester held, however why the name Bertha?

I don't have a lot to say about this book. I feel like I was plopped down in the middle of the story with no idea where I was or what was going on. That was pretty much my feeling through the rest of the book. It just wasn't memorable. I decided to read this after finishing Jane Eyre. Rarely does a prequel or sequel by an author other than the original one get good reviews. This one did.
