It seems irrelevant to rate this book of prose/poetry. It's not really something I can like or dislike in the usual sense. It was a very relevant but deeply painful read. Claudia Rankine picks relentlessly at a scab, revealing the accumulative nature of the wound that racial prejudice has created in this country. As I said, relevant, painful, complex, at times beautiful.
The format of the book is interesting and engaging, the writing is interspersed with visual art.
