This is my second time round reading this book and it is one of those that are worth reading again and again. There is so much information that the first time I was completely overwhelmed. But found it easier to read it this time. I enjoy so much listening to people that are so into literature, however, I realized that to really appreciate this book it would be good to read all the books that she mentions in her memoir. I thought it would a book about something similiar to Polish Flying Univeristy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flying_U...), but it was about Nafisi's hurted pride that she wasn't a recpected academic teacher at University in Iran anymore. It was more about her than about books or girs who were coming to her so-called lectures. I didn't learn how Lolita was influencing girls' lives. I got information I already had. ...more

I like the fact that this book tells alot about a Moslem country and how people in the country live.

also, I like this book because it encourages me to read a whole lot of other books...
