This book is turning out to be a big disappointment for me...the writing style fails to capture the reader, and I cannot empathize with the women characters because there's almost no character development whatsoever. I cannot help but compare this book to Persepolis in which Marjane Satrapi does an excellent job portraying life in Iran during the revolution, and this book is nowhere near as powerful as that one.
