Three Cups of Tea is not a literary masterpiece, but it was for me an inspirational, spell-binding adventure saga wrapping a thoughtful statement on the power of basic kindness and generosity and personal integrity to bridge even the largest cultural gaps.
I don't think I finished this... I can't remember. I remember not liking it though.

I enjoyed this book. I don't read a lot of non-fiction, but this one grabs you. Some of it seems like filler, but all in all it's a good story, and one that definitely needed to be told.

I would give the book three stars but only out of guilt for being harsh on a non-fiction book, especially one which revolves around good deeds. Or I guess incredibly heroic deeds according to the book, not to knock them or anything. but a good story doesn't automatically make for a good book, especially when it gets padded- um, i mean "supplemented"- by background stories of questionable relevance. ultimately, i'm glad he's doing what he's doing, but i would have rather read a wikipedia entry ab
