Shelves: nonfiction, historical
It actually frustrates me that people rate this book negatively because it is boring. True, the diary of a girl can at times be rather frivolous, certainly self-indulgant, and slow paced. But I am not sure that this book it to entertain so much as to put into context that humanity of World War II.

What is fascinating is that despite being cloistered in a "Secret Annex" for two years without access to the outside world for two years, her daily life was filled with both the extraordinary circumsta ...more
