GAH!!! What book is this???
This book is as crazy as the two characters in the story. Up until the very last word in Part 2, I still think this book is so great: a page turner, an out-of-the-box thriller, amazingly twisted characters, gripping plot, definitely a keeper!
Then I got to Part 3 - this was where I felt sick in my stomach. I mean. Come on! I was really truly honestly going to keep this book to myself, but then I read how the book ends and I immediately wanted to give the book away. It's ...more

I freaking loved this book. I know a lot of people disliked it (hated it!) because they thought the characters were horrible, but honestly, that's a big reason I liked it. I have no desire to read about happy-lovely-perfect characters all the time. And I know there's a broad spectrum between perfect and the characters in this book (and that spectrum holds lots of compelling reads), but somehow Gillian Flynn wrote a book about terrible people and kept my interest from start to finish. I don't get it. This was nothing special...just your run-of-the-mill mystery/suspense. In fact, it was quite far-fetched and eye-roll inducing. Yet it's everywhere.
