This book was a bit of a mindf---. And I loved it. Every sordid, surprising, weird turn. I kept speculating about what was "really" going on and can't say much without giving it all away. I would get to a critical point in the book and text my sister in law who had already read it to discuss. I'm sure I drove my husband crazy with late night reading and audible gasps. You must read this book and then tell your friends to read it so you have someone to dissect it with. So good!! ...more

I finished this book in 36 hours. It was gripping and so so so creepy. It's a stick it in the freezer kind of book...so I'm reading Flynn's other two books STAT. I'll never be the same after this. ...more

Phew - this one messes with your head skillfully, but the characters are so unlikable, I felt a bit more irritable than usual when thinking about the story.

I put off reading this book for a long time, but with the movie coming out, I figured it was now or never. I wanted to hate this book going into it -- but I ended up liking the plotting and the writing style (the he said/she said chapters) more than I anticipated.

I really disliked the ending and hated both main characters -- but I imagine that was Flynn's intention. ...more

I had a hard time getting into this book initially because I really disliked both main characters. I appreciated the plot twists and turns, and it did keep my attention, but overall it was just an okay read.
