I listened to this book and I would suggest that over reading it. The audio book employs two narrators- one male and one female. Hearing the twisted, self-serving characters acted out brought the story to life. Yes- this is one twisted, ridiculous story. That said, I found it to be entertaining and a fun nod to film noir. I couldn't put this book down. I almost gave this 4 stars, but I have trouble "really liking" a book about the type of people and subject matter of the book. But it was complicated, suspenseful, and definitely surprising.
