Like many, I was interested in this book because of the Wall Street Journal controversy surrounding Amy Chua's article. I think a lot of the discussion around Chua's article would've calmed down if people had actually read the book. It's not a parenting guide, it's a memoir and a very readable one at that. I'm echoing dozens when I say that her methods did seem rather extreme but she had some good points. Książka opisuje życie rodziny chińsko - żydowskiej i modelu wychowawczego tzw. chińskiej matki, który nie przewiduje porażki.
