Love books? Were you ever a lonely little girl, or were you wise beyond your years? Did you long for a superhero who could help you out when you were 7 going on 8?

Do you have an imagination and do you like to use it? Do you enjoy books that can bring you from tears of laughter to tears of grief in a matter of a few paragraphs?

Read this book at once.

LOVED this book.

well that was a trip

realized today that my book club meets tomorrow and i'd completely forgotten so i spent the past four hours powering my way through this book

i quite liked it! but i'm a huge sucker for stories within stories, like i saw a few reviews were a bit ehh on all the miamas stuff but that was my jam, give me all the personally significant fairytales

tho i gotta say speaking as a formerly precocious seven year old myself, elsa did not read as seven...at all...

Backman has an amazing talent for recreating the magical realism of childhood. This book made me both laugh and cry.
