I read this for a community book club/lecture program and while it is a difficult book to describe and talk about, I am very glad that I read it.
A "white trash" family living in Greenville, SC, on the edge of Appalachia in the 1950s, it tells the story of "Bone", Anney's illegitimate daughter.
