What Members Thought
Since this is a mystery and the point is the mystery, I won't say much. If you like Gillian Flynn, then you'll likely like this one. I didn't find it as good as the others I had read and it took about 25% into the book before I was really engaged. She's great at creating dislikable characters but still managing to make me curious enough to want to find out what happens to them. I was hoping for another Gone Girl. But, Sharp Objects did not deliver. The story was decent. However, it did not hook me and was not a page turner.
this one was just so so to me. characters were a little bland, and the plot was kind of predictable. I prefer Gone Girl myself, which was excellent.
