For some reason 2016 seems to be the year I'm drawn to books set during WWII. It was one I had come across years ago that I was trying to get read for a book group I was running at the time. I wish we would have selected it; there is so much to talk about. This book beautifully weaves Hansel and Gretel into what was happening in Poland at the end of WWII.
