I didn’t know this was based on a real story. I find it really inspiring that a woman and a woman of color was able to stand toe to toe with the American tycoon J.P. Morgan. I couldn’t imagine being his personal librarian, what a scary but awesome experience that must have been.
Belle is great. She takes care of her family and she knows the value of working hard. I kind of hated how she was so quick to overlook her father’s cheating…but I guess if that’s the worst thing she’s done then so be it. ...more
