This was a charming a sweet story about a young woman named Odile who works at the American Library in Paris while navigating the pre/post war days of WWII. Told in tandem with Odile's story is one of Odile's neighbor Lily, years later in 1988. Lily befriends her neighbor Odile, the quiet woman who keeps to herself and people in town know very little about. The two become fast friends and each other's confidantes during Lily's turbulent teenage years.
