3.5 stars. The writing was so good. SO good. But the story was just so stagnant.
I was really intrigued by the premise, and the stuff we got to see about how Stella and Desiree’s lives diverged when they separated was really interesting. The section where we first see what Stella was doing in the time after, living as white … man, the tension was thrumming through this novel!!
