Beautifully written, great story line and unforgettable characters. this is the story of an abandoned child, Kya Clark, who raises herself in poverty conditions in the (ficticious) Marshlands of NC. Resiliency, loneliness, survival, nature and love are all themes. I enjoyed listening to the 12 hour audio because the reader had different voices for different characters. It’s slightly slow getting started but well worth hanging in there. So well done and an AMAZING ending. I highly recommend!
