What Members Thought
We choose this for book club. Raisin in the Sun is one of my favorite plays, so I was excited to learn more about her. She had a truly extraordinary life, and I appreciated the chapters that detailed her friendships with James Baldwin and Nina Simone. The book as a whole felt a little detached. I'm not certain I would have finished it if it wasn't a book club selection.
