What Members Thought
I’m not completely sure how I feel about this book. The writing is exquisite. There are so many paragraphs you want to read again and again just because the words are put together so perfectly and profoundly. The characters are well-drawn individuals and real human beings. The detailed aspects of their daily lives that McDermott includes make them completely real. It is the big picture of this book that has left me dissatisfied.
