Every time I think this series isn't for me, Backman proves me wrong! I really struggle with some of the views in this series, a lot of the characters are small minded, bigoted, and offensive. But so many aren't, and so much of this book has heart. I think the author captures the small town vibe perfectly, and he kept me engaged the entire book.

Wonderful!
Great follow up to Beartown; I love how Backman develops his charcters, draws you right into their world immediately. Also love his style, though sometimes it's a bit on the preachy side. A lesson to be learned always.
