I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I did not realize how much I missed reading academic writing until I started reading this book. I love social histories and cooking, so this was a very interesting topic for me. I liked how it was set up by decades, and I really learned a lot about how styles of cooking and the influence of cookbooks have changed over time.
