This is the most beautifully written book I have read in a long time. The words used to describe the scenery, the characters, and their emotions made me feel like a fly on the wall of their deeply complicated lives. Each character had a depth that let me feel their struggles along with them. The issues the characters had to deal with brought back memories of not only my past, but also that of my mother, my grandmother, and my daughters and brought deep emotions bubbling up to the surface.
