Every year I have one or two books that are more important to me than the others. This is such a book for me. It's well-written, relevant to our time, filled with observations that beg to be read aloud to others to be fully appreciated, and on top of that, FUN to read. I blew through this 600+ pager in a week because I so enjoyed it. Wow. Loved the Health Food store scene (~p. 360). Such pure connection with self and thoughts and society. Amazing.
: ). Just finished. Yes I started review with a smiley face. Such an amazing book of a myriad of characters. It is always tough to leave these characters at the end of the book, but Mr. Hill did a good job of showing the growth of characters, and not giving a pat tie-up ending. Powerful book.
