I wish I could give this a million stars. It felt like a cool mix of Phantom of the Opera and 1984 and I just absolutely loved it.
I've been meaning to read this since the movie was made. As is often the case the original version was much better! The complex story which unfolds paints a dark dystopian future where an Orwellian government is watching everyone and has engaged in a Nazi style campaign of purification and propaganda. It's up to one masked man to tear down this government and inspire the people of England to replace their government with something better.
