What Members Thought

This book really does make you think about how we (as a society) view people who have different abilities than ourselves and the preconcieved notions that we place upon them. Just because Melody has physical disabilities and cannot talk does not mean she isn't an intelligent young girl filled with thoughts and opinions. While I liked/appreciated the questions this book raises for its readers, many parts of it did not feel genuine to me. Melody's speech patterns sometimes seemed off for an 11 yea
