Rick Riordan does an excellent job making these companion guides entertaining to read with many create inclusions to teach readers about the nine worlds, Norse gods, goddesses, and creatures. A few gems include an interview with John Henry of hammer lore in reference to Thor, rap duel between Frey and his sword Jack the sword of Summer, family reunion evite from Hel, and many others!
