I was so happy when this book came out and I was ready to delve in like I do with all of her novels (except the last one); glad she was back to the Italian family stories I was used to. I liked it, but didn't love it. It was missing something but I can't quite put my finger on what that something might be. Once I stopped worrying about the lack of a compelling plot and just went along for the ride with these wonderful characters, I fell in love with this book, even though I still don't really know why it is entitled Kiss Carlo.
