Wow. This is my first Sherman Alexie book, and I loved it! So much painful stuff happens to the main character Arnold, and yet he deals with everything with such humor. Of course, after reading the book I went right to the official website, which was, yup you guessed it: shermanalexie.com. Reading his biography, I found out that while the book is fiction, many of the things that Arnold experiences were also part of Sherman's life. An amazing voice. Touching, funny, truthful, real. I listened to it on a PlayAway from the library, read by the author. I pretty much listened to the whole thing straight, 5 hours.
Great appeal to kids and adults. A wonderful experience.
