Liked but did not love. The storyline of the women, witches and water was fascinating, but there were some loose ends for me. A lot of characters to keep track of in the beginning - I had to go back and re-read chapters to keep myself straight. Does anyone else wonder what happened to Jeanne - the psychic's sister? Okay I lied, I didn't really finish, but I came darn close. I skimmed the last 70 pages or so. This story could be told in way less words. The last quarter of so of it was where it really picked up, especially toward the end. Pretty good follow-up to The Girl on the Train to which I'd give a 3.5/5. ...more
