LOVE this series. Love this author!
After a fairly long reading slump of picking books that just weren't the best, this was exactly what I needed. I got so caught up in the vibrant characters and their small town and couldn't put it down. I liked that the mystery was not too easy to solve, but also not impossible to predict, and that there were several other secrets on the side. Was it perfect? No. At times it was a little weird or too guarded or even stereotypically silly. But would I recommend it? Yes.

I wouldn't mind hanging out with these characters, might have to learn French though....

A little slow at first, but I could not put it down at the end - will certainly read more Louise Penny!
