I really enjoyed seeing how Terreille reacted and changed after the Purge from Queen of the Darkness. I also really loved seeing a queen, Cassidy, who struggled with her self-confidence and transitioning to a new Territory.
It was also intriguing to have an antagonist who wasn't overtly evil. Theran just has set ideas about what he wants for Dena Nehele and cannot reconcile Cassidy with his ideal queen. ...more
