A mystery set in Australia with interesting characters, unique atmosphere, and strong pacing. It was a surprise to find that "The Dry" is a debut novel for author Jane Harper. Federal Agent Aaron Falk returns home to attend the funeral of his childhood best friend, Luke Hadley, who apparently distraught over the drought in his hometown has killed his wife and son and then himself.
