I am not typically one to read graphic novels but this one was so powerful. From the first few pages, I felt like I was a part of the journey. The story is increasingly relevant with the world we live in. Every day it becomes more important to hear this story and I’m happy that I could, in some small way, be a part of it. I enjoyed the uniqueness of a visual retelling that the graphic novel offered. A quick read that is so worth everyone’s time.

This was a good read. I really enjoyed seeing the life of John Lewis. However, as good as the book was, I did get a little confused because the story jumped between two & three different timelines. Can't wait to read Book 2
