Solid 3.5 stars. This was the first steampunk novel I've read, and it was pretty entertaining. I liked the eccentric characters and the idea that finishing school could mean teaching young ladies how to become spies/assassins and young boys how to be evil genius inventors. Some terms and concepts took me a little bit to figure out, but I'm not sure if that's because I am not familiar with typical steampunk worlds or if things were just not explained well.
