A new look at the Amish - not your typical "bonnet" fiction. Lucy is Mennonite, and befriends an Old Order Amish Girl named Alice who visits Florida during the winter months. It was news to me that the Old Order Amish from Maine would travel to Florida for part of the winter. When Alice is 16, she enters "Rumspringa" a period of experimentation and freedom when the Old Order test their wings (and wildness) before joining the church.
