I'm still mulling this story over in my mind - and not really sure how to rate it, or whether I "liked" it. I'm not sure this is a book to really like or love - for me it served a purpose by opening a door or window into another life that was completely unlike my own. I was transported to Detroit in the spring of 2008, into the home of the Turners - a black family with 13 children.
