Not sure what all of the hype was about. It's a cute setting and the characters should have been interesting, but most of them fell flat for me. The writer's style made this feel almost like an abridged version or junior novelization, and that made it difficult to track the pace of the events. Recommended by my mom, I really enjoyed this story about how books bring people together in some pretty amazing ways… even saving a life. It was better than the back cover described it to be. The writing was so good that I found myself rereading paragraphs just to enjoy and think about what was being said. A couple favorite quotes:
