I know SJM series can be a rollercoaster of quality and I'm told this is her best series. The first book was fine, but didn't grab me the way I felt it should have. I have been putting off reading this series for a long time. I don’t know why…maybe it is because I read ACOTAR, and even though I enjoyed it, I just felt like there are far better romantasies out there, and I didn’t want to waste my time.

I didn't love this one quite enough to bless it with 5 stars, but it was a solid story and I look forward to reading Crown of Midnight :) ...more
