A Walk in the Woods was a story of the Appalachian Trail, but not in the way I imagined. Bill Bryson and his friend, Katz, started on the trail in Georgia, and made it to Tennessee before taking a taxi to Roanoke, Virginia. The book documents their struggles, but also has some funny parts and highlights many facts about the trail. 2022…. Listened to the audio with my husband on a long car ride to Parents Weekend in Cincinnati. We both love this author and we’re inspired because of our neighbor currently hiking the AT.
