What Members Thought
All I can say now that I'm done with this book is...finally. I just could not get into it for like the first 200 pages. The narrative moved slowly and was weighed down with tiny minute details that didn't matter (well, except later - like 20 years later - when a character would reference a conversation or detail that you had completely forgotten by now). So many sidebars and characters could have been cut out, but as it was it felt like the author was just trying to cram every single 1920s/Met M
