It's hard to decide how I felt about this book. The plot summary pulled me in, but then it was really (really) hard to get into for about the first 25% of the book. I couldn't decide if Evie was a likeable character or not, the love triangle(s) seemed a little forced, and the introduction of so many supporting characters and their side plots was very confusing. I listened to The Diviners and, let me tell you, January LaVoy was fabulous. I want her to read EVERYTHING to me. While I did enjoy the story and learning more about the time period, I occasionally lost interest. If The Diviners had been tightened up a bit, I could see it being one of my favorites.
