What Members Thought
Mai remains a spoiled 12 year old California-raised kid for most of the book, even though the reader knows that at some point she is going to grow up a little and change her mind about being miserable on her trip to Vietnam with her Grandmother. It was cool to see modern Vietnamese village life, but I didn't enjoy this book as much as Lai's first book.
