Anne Brown
I've always loved the idea of writing a story inspired by a series of seemingly unrelated photographs, and I think that Riggs pulled it off very successfully (with only a few exceptions that seemed forced). I thought this was a really well written coming-of-age adventure story, even if things were a bit exaggerated at times (aka too binary). Wonderful novel, leaves the door open for a second book, but I hope not since this one is just about perfect. The use of pictures really compliments the story, I could not put it down.

I feel like I would have liked this book a lot more if I were a few years younger. A good book, but the description and cover are very misleading and I would not ...more

I felt as though the author had an amazing opportunity to create a beautifully creepy story around these vintage photographs and it just didn't pan out. Don't get me wrong, the book was good, it just at times felt a bit forced. I most likely won't be reading the rest of the series. ...more
